What you can expect

In this role, you will embody Zoom’s core value of care and work to minimize our environmental footprint around the world. You will play a critical part in advancing our reporting and disclosure initiatives by maturing ESG data collection and analysis efforts, leveraging data-driven insights to inspire ESG performance improvements, and lead data preparation for internal and external ESG reporting. Your analysis work will drive strategic sustainability initiatives across the company and support our commitments. This position will support the Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) & Sustainability program, as well as programmatic support for the Trust & Safety team.

Your purpose is to ensure the data integrity of our environmental, social and governance data and manage our reporting and disclosure information leaving the company. You will develop and implement policies and processes to ensure data is complete, accurate and audit ready. Your goal is to be able to provide accurate, real time updates on our emissions profile, consistently report to external parties and collaborate internally to manage data collection processes. You will build a program where ESG reporting governance is transferrable across regulatory and voluntary reporting.

About the Team

The Compliance and Ethics Team exists to build trust with our stakeholders and seeks to meet customer needs while protecting Zoom’s business model and compliance obligations. The team comprises of ESG & Sustainability, Trust & Safety and Compliance & Ethics teams.

Responsibilities

70% Time - ESG Reporting & Disclosure Analyst

  • Collect and manage data for the calculation and measurement of Zoom’s Scope 1, Scope 2 and Scope 3 GHG emissions.
  • Oversee the management of, and data integrity within, Zoom’s ESG carbon management platform, making necessary adjustments to align with evolving reporting requirements, software iterations and technical data sets.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with ESG data owners to inform dashboards and measurement tools, ensuring a source of truth for ESG data.
  • Collect ESG data and supporting documentation for internal and external reporting, including stakeholder inquiries and questionnaires, and support our CDP and EcoVadis reporting efforts.
  • Develop and maintain documentation of processes and procedures around data collection and management and recommend improvements for data collection and management processes. Build assurance readiness and data assurance processes.
  • Analyze and keep current external scores of our ESG performance from raters and rankers, such as MSCI, Sustainalytics and ISS. Familiarity with reporting frameworks such as GRI, SASB and ISSB.
  • Contribute to the development, preparation, and publication of Zoom’s annual Impact Report and propose opportunities to enhance the inclusion of data in the ESG Report.

30% Time - Trust & Safety Program Manager

  • Coordinate with various teams to collect, organize, and validate documentation, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and audit requirements. Ensuring that all required documentation is provided, as well as any subsequent requiremetns.
  • Assist and participate in the planning of the T&S tech initiatives and roadmaps, including planning, conducting backlog grooming, gathering requirements, maintaining project documentation, and providing status reports.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to develop and automate reports, and iteratively build and prototype dashboards to provide T&S insights at scale, solving for business needs.
  • Collect and define feature requests for the T&S internal tools and systems.

Skills and Knowledge:

  • While not required, the ideal candidate will have a strong background in corporate sustainability, carbon accounting, ESG reporting frameworks, finance controls and/or and data analysis.
  • Experience in carbon accounting, including Scope 1, Scope 2, and Scope 3 GHG emissions, and a strong understanding of reporting protocols, such as the GHG Protocol and Scope 3 Protocol.
  • Experience with target and goal setting, including background understanding of the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) and implementing science based targets.
  • Experience with analyzing and reporting ESG-related data via software platforms, in order to identify issues, trends, or exceptions to drive improvement of results and find solutions.
  • Ability to develop and maintain detailed documentation of data collection and management processes.
  • Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational and planning skills; capacity to simultaneously handle a variety of complex matters under deadline pressure.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Experience developing and delivering presentations, communicating technical subject matter to a non-technical audience of all levels.
  • Team-oriented and personable, willing to learn other areas of the business to further collaboration and drive results cross-functionally.
  • Self-starter with an ability to self-motivate, work independently and multi-task.

What we’re looking for

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, sustainability, finance, data science, information systems, computer science, or related technical field
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of relevant professional experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree
  • Experience in the technology industry with 3 – 5 years of relevant professional experience
  • Salesforce Net Zero Cloud Accredited Professional

Salary Range or On Target Earnings:

Minimum:

$65,200.00

Maximum:

$158,900.00
