  • Role reports to: Senior Director Global ESG Sustainability
  • Location: Kenvue’s corporate headquarters is currently located in Skillman NJ, but is scheduled to move to Summit, NJ in or around early 2025
  • Travel %: 10%
  • Pay: $97,000 to $166,750

What you will do

The Program Manager will work with Kenvue’s Global ESG & Sustainability team to help operationalize and accelerate key workstreams that advance the execution of the Global ESG & Sustainability strategy, with a focus on sustainable sourcing, human rights, biodiversity, and net zero.

This role requires a program manager (PM) with experience implementing enterprise-wide initiatives and evaluating financial implications of program investments on sustainability topics. This person will be a strategic problem solver with an ability to prioritize multiple and competing priorities while driving a plan to execution. The candidate will also be skilled at building relationships across functions to align strategies, drive execution and has a passion for sustainability. Specifically, the Program Manager will be responsible for supporting the company’s sustainable sourcing, human rights and biodiversity strategy and programs in partnership with procurement and other key internal stakeholders. The Program Manager will also support the company’s strategy for net zero.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the overall performance and delivery of the sustainable sourcing, human rights, biodiversity, and net zero workstreams.
  • Responsible for program management governance, processes, and deliverables to safeguard program success. Leverage project management and organizational change management (OCM) methodologies, tools & templates.
  • Work with the ESG & Sustainability core team, Healthy Lives Mission (HLM) pillar and workstream leads, and business leads to ensure SME engagement and secure required resources to support execution.
  • Ensure timely, clear, and consistent communication of scope, schedule, budget, risks, issues, and decisions to ESG & Sustainability core team and business stakeholders.
  • Provide critical thinking and risk management oversight to programs from planning through implementation; simultaneously coordinate multiple tracks of work, managing risks and issues across projects to ensure program success.
  • Lead and direct work of others who do not directly report to you, but whose input and cooperation is needed on the project.
  • Produce and present executive level presentations on health of program, options that need decisioning, and issues that need escalation.
  • Manage a high degree of change in a fast paced, complex, and demanding environment.
  • Work closely with the HLM Pillar Leads, workstream leads, and ESG finance lead on developing workstream business cases including investment, cost avoidance, and cost reduction tracking, and forecasting, multi-year planning, and resource allocation.

Required Qualifications

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience managing progressively complex and challenging programs and/or portfolios.
    • Experience in at least one of the following areas: responsible sourcing, business and human rights, or biodiversity in a corporate context.
    • Possess general knowledge across multiple dimensions of both social and environmental sustainability.
    • Ability to work and interact with a globally distributed team in a dynamic and fast paced environment.
    • Leadership qualities including strategic and critical thinking, relationship management, organizational skills, and ability to motivate and influence others.
  • Ability to anticipate potential challenges and propose mitigation plans.
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) & presentation skills, including ability to tailor communication to audience to achieve desired results.
    • Successful track record working with business teams to define, develop, test, and launch new processes and new programs.

Desired Qualifications

  • Demonstrated project management experience within formal System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes and methodologies such as PMI’s Project Management Body of Knowledge.

  • Annual base salary for new hires in this position ranges from $97,000 to $166,750. This takes into account a number of factors including work location, the candidate’s skills, experience, education level & other job-related factors.
