Job Description
The Sustainability Manager will play an integral role on Peloton’s ESG team, supporting environmental impact measurement, management, and reporting. This role will help steward carbon footprint accounting, measure carbon emissions reduction efforts, and manage other environmental data such as waste and water. This role will also support internal engagement and establish individual credibility as a strategic partner with teams across the business. Peloton’s ESG team collaboratively pursues high-impact initiatives that support the company’s cultural, societal, and environmental resilience, and unlock business value. This position will report directly to the Senior Director, Sustainability and also work closely with the Senior Director, ESG. The Sustainability Manager position is a full-time role based out of Peloton’s New York headquarters.
YOUR DAILY IMPACT AT PELOTON
- Support ongoing measurement and management of Peloton’s global carbon emissions and related reduction efforts
- Track and analyze Peloton’s environmental impact data (waste, water, and energy)
- Manage and prepare environmental sustainability data for Peloton’s ESG external reporting and disclosure workstreams, including our annual ESG report and CDP response
- Support efforts to integrate ESG and sustainability cross-functionally, including developing clear and compelling materials for executive conversations and committee meetings, and participating in and/or leading internal working groups
- Conduct rigorous industry research and internal/external benchmarking, and deliver useful insights to support strategic planning for ESG and sustainability initiatives
YOU BRING TO PELOTON
- 5+ years of relevant experience
- Master’s Degree in Business or Environmental Sustainability / sustainability-related field, or equivalent experience is preferred
- Experience in carbon footprinting and ESG/sustainability reporting required
- Prior corporate sustainability-related experience preferred
- Strong quantitative and critical thinking skills with ability to efficiently manage large quantities of data and distill valuable insights
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with different functions; comfortable with engaging directly with individuals at all levels of the organization
- Demonstrates good judgement, enabling the ability to work independently and be proactive in a dynamic environment
- Experience balancing multiple concurrent projects with strong attention to detail and accountability to high standards of excellence
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Growth mindset, low ego, intellectual curiosity, and a desire to learn
- Experience working across a global organization is preferred
The base salary range represents the low and high end of the anticipated salary range for this position based at our New York City headquarters. The actual base salary offered for this position will depend on numerous factors including individual performance, business objectives, and if the location for the job changes.
