The Launch of Climate Fit: Free and Easy-to-Access Training for SMEs on Carbon Reduction

Join us for the launch of Climate Fit, a free decarbonization training for small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and hear how you can easily get started whilst acknowledging all the other challenges in your business.

The primary reason that SMEs report for not taking climate action is not knowing what to do.

This course provides a free, self-paced resource that can address this issue.

For SME suppliers, climate action is increasingly required by buyers, and this course can help ensure that they know what to do so that they can maintain and grow their business with climate-conscience buyers.

About Climate Fit: Net Zero Training for SMEs

Climate Fit is a free online training course to help SMEs reduce their carbon emissions and join the collective race to net zero. Developed by the University of Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership (CISL) Accelerator and BSR, in partnership with the We Mean Business (WMB) Coalition and hosted through the SME Climate Hub, it aims to equip SMEs with expert knowledge and practical skills to take action on climate change.

Delivered over seven modules, Climate Fit guides SMEs through the decarbonization journey, covering: governance and strategy, operations, supply chain, design for net zero, finance, people and community, and net-zero storytelling. Participants are coached every step of the way and empowered to take an active role in bridging the global emissions gap, with the strategy needed to succeed.

While reaching net zero emissions is an ambitious goal, it’s achievable if we work together. For the SMEs that make up 90 percent of the world’s businesses, that can make a big difference.
