In the current global context, forests are at the center of all stakes. There’s an increase in level of scrutiny over their exploitation but also a rising demand for wooden material, posing a unique set of challenges and opportunities for companies worldwide. To minimize the social and environmental impacts of timber supplies and foster positive sectoral transformation, we believe there is momentum for you and your industry peers to join hands in building a collaborative approach.
As a first step, we are planning a workshop to gather interested companies and discuss the potential objectives and scope of work of this coalition. Join us to review the proposed scope, give feedback, and understand more about what we could achieve through this collaboration. Following the event, you will have the opportunity to confirm your interest in participating in the coalition.
We welcome companies from all sectors, including cosmetics; personal care; chemistry; food, beverage, and agriculture; furniture; pulp and paper; distribution industries; and beyond. The coalition will focus primarily on paper pulp products, such as paper and cardboard-based packaging material, labels, POS material, and printing papers, with the possibility to expand into timber for construction and furniture.
