COP16 is a crucial moment for business to engage in global efforts to address biodiversity loss under the Convention on Biological Diversity. It represents an opportunity to align their strategies to nature-positive approaches, ensuring they are addressing the critical need to protect and restore the environment. BSR will play a key role by supporting business ambition, gathering critical insights for members, and highlighting the work of our network in driving credible, effective action.

Laura Donnelly
Director, Nature, BSR
Laura leads BSR’s Nature team. Her focus is working with member companies to develop holistic and credible strategic approaches to address nature related impacts and dependencies. These engagements are conducted across industries, with an additional focus on understanding the linkages between nature and other areas of focus (e.g., human rights, climate, etc.).
Prior to joining BSR, Laura spent seven years on the markets transformation team at the Rainforest Alliance. Her role focused on engaging companies throughout agriculture supply chains in addressing risks and opportunities through incorporating nature-based solutions and interventions. This included working with companies from farm to market on their sustainability strategy utilizing the Rainforest Alliance program. Laura also has experience in the beauty industry, where she worked in brand management and marketing.
Laura holds a Master of Communication Management from the University of Southern California and a BS in Business Administration from Boston University.

Erin Leitheiser
Associate Director, Nature, BSR
Erin helps lead BSR’s nature team where she focuses on the climate/nature nexus, including credits, nature-based solutions (NbS), and beyond value chain mitigation.
She leads engagements with companies to evaluate their nature impacts, devise nature positive strategies, and implement operational and supply chain solutions that further both biodiversity and decarbonization goals. She also works closely with companies on supplier engagement for Scope 3 emissions reductions and nature action, helping to develop resources like the Supplier Engagement Guide and the Climate Fit: Net Zero Training course on the SME Climate Hub.
Erin brings more than 18 years of experience, including remaining on the faculty at Copenhagen Business School following her prior role as an Assistant Professor. Before academia, Erin worked in CSR and sustainability at Target, where she built external partnerships and developed strategies to drive both business resilience and community impact. She began her career in sustainability consulting, working on public policy and social impact projects for nonprofit, public, and private clients.
Erin holds a PhD in Sustainability Governance from Copenhagen Business School, a MSc in Social Policy and Planning from the London School of Economics and Political Science, and a BA in Honors History from Gustavus Adolphus College.

Paloma Muñoz Quick
Director, Human Rights Standards, BSR
Paloma leads BSR’s work on Human Rights Standards, including standard-setting, knowledge management, and helping companies respond to emerging standards and regulation. She is also Senior Advisor to BSR’s Finance & Human Rights Practice.
Prior to joining BSR, Paloma was Advisor to the UN Working Group on Business and Human Rights and Senior Consultant of the UN B-Tech Project, where she developed a vision for promoting the uptake of the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights among investors and guidance on responsible investment in digital technologies. Prior to the UN, Paloma launched and led the Investor Alliance for Human Rights, where she developed thought leadership on the investor responsibility to respect human rights and supported stewardship engagements across industries. She also worked at the Danish Institute for Human Rights advising companies, governments, and civil society on business and human rights.
Paloma is a member of the US government’s Advisory Committee on Responsible Business Conduct. She sits on the Editorial Board of Developments in the Field of the Business and Human Rights Journal of Cambridge University.
She holds a Master of International Affairs (M.I.A.) in Human Rights from the School of International and Public Affairs at Columbia University and a B.A. in Political Science, also from Columbia University.
Paloma is Chilean-American and is fluent in English, Spanish, and Portuguese.

Beatriz Osorio Marugán
Manager, Nature and Consumer Sectors, BSR
Beatriz is part of the nature and climate change teams, aiming at strengthening and developing BSR’s nature offering as well as tapping into the interconnectedness between these two areas and crafting solutions that uplift members’ climate and nature commitments and their overall impact.
Prior to joining BSR, Beatriz was the Consulting Director and Board Member at the Paris branch of a global social impact student consultancy, where she managed a range of missions, especially within the education, consumer, and financial sectors. She also worked for over two years as a public sector consultant at EY Madrid, where she mostly assisted public bodies in project definition, strategy, and implementation under the European Regional Development Fund scheme, participating in a wide array of projects focusing on social inclusion, the circular economy, green mobility, and smart cities.
Beatriz holds a MS in Sustainability and Social Innovation from HEC Paris, a MS in Management Consulting from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, and a BSc in International Management and Modern Languages (IMML) from the University of Bath. She speaks Spanish, English, and French.
