The Sustainable Value Chain Working Group is designed for companies seeking to understand how sustainability issues appear across their value chain and develop a responsible sourcing program in compliance with new regulations.
Specifically, the Working Group seeks to help companies:
- Build capacity across supply chain, upstream and downstream procurement and sales teams, and upskill other relevant functions
- Meet rising stakeholder expectations
- Prepare for current and anticipated regulatory requirements, such as CSRD, CSDDD, and the EU taxonomy as well as emissions management and supply chain adaptation.
This Working Group is great opportunity for BSR members as well as early-stage companies, SMEs, Portfolio Companies or established players who are either beginning their sustainable value chain journey or looking to upskill colleagues across different functions. All individuals who interact with purchasing, supplier management and products sales, including legal, finance, procurement, supply chain, sales and ESG leadership are invited to participate.
The Group is scheduled to launch in April 2025 and will convene via webinars, workshops and in-person meetings over a 12-month period. Members will also receive templates and tools developed by BSR experts to develop value chain policies, a strategy, and a roadmap.
